Eighty-eight keys. It's amazing the sound you get from these eighty-eight keys. Or any musical instrument for that matter. You can make sounds of joy & celebration, quiet, classical sounds, sounds of the blues and anything else in between. Music is a language all it's own and it is universal. Put God in the mix and it's amazing what music can do and where it will take you. This piano is my mom's. I've had the piano for about 23 years. I can imagine her as a little girl learning the notes and practicing her scales. I can see her as a teenager playing some of the songs of the day from the sheet music that is still in the piano bench. I can see her playing in church one Sunday because there was no one else to play. I don't play well or often, but when I sit at this piano, I know there is a history and I know there is a future still to be written. And who knows, God just may produce a real piano player in me yet.
