My grandfather on my father's side went to extraordinary lengths to keep squirrels out of the bird feeders. He once ran a long wire from the bird feeder to his window so he could shake the feeder whenever a squirrel was near it, lol. He also used to post little signs on the feeders,"Birds Only."
