Day 5 - Dreaming

This picture sits on my windowsill in my office right over my desk. I just couldn't help but take a picture of it and talk about my son and dreams. My son always wanted to be a fireman. I thought, when he was growing up, that that desire would pass. Don't all little boys want to be firemen or policemen? It seems that this is one dream that didn't just pass by. The picture on the left was taken of Ben was when he was about 5 or 6 . The one on the right was taken 20 years (or so) later. Ben in his fireman's gear. It just reminds me that dreams don't have to die. I have a framed quote on my desk that also speaks to dreams:

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible. T.E. Lawrence

So I guess we dare not stop dreaming, no matter how young or old we are or how impossible it may seem.
